Interior States

Interior States explores the private emotional landscapes we carry within us—the shifting terrain of identity, memory, vulnerability, longing, and self-perception. Through fragmented figures, symbolic forms, expressive color, and intuitive mark-making, these paintings give physical presence to experiences that often resist language.

The works move between tension and release, isolation and connection, uncertainty and joy. Faces fracture, forms overlap, and boundaries dissolve, reflecting the ways identity is continually shaped by memory, emotion, relationships, and change.

Rather than offering fixed narratives, Interior States invites viewers into moments of psychological recognition—those fleeting spaces where what we feel internally collides with how we understand ourselves. Each painting becomes a portrait not necessarily of a person, but of a state of being.
