Between Us

Between Us explores the fragile and often contradictory nature of human connection—the desire to be known, the difficulty of truly knowing another person, and the invisible distances that can exist even within our closest relationships.

Through intersecting forms, fragmented shapes, gestural marks, and shifting fields of color, the works examine intimacy, attachment, separation, conflict, and longing. Forms meet, overlap, pull apart, and exist alongside one another, becoming visual metaphors for the ways relationships are formed, altered, and sometimes lost.

Rooted in Neo-Expressionism, Between Us considers relationships not as fixed bonds, but as constantly changing spaces shaped by memory, communication, vulnerability, and experience. The collection asks what passes between two people—and what remains when words, touch, or understanding are no longer enough to bridge the distance.
